++ October 1, 5:30 p.m., the Visit of our Bishop, the
Rt. Rev. Kenneth L. Price, Jr., followed by light dinner
and "Construction crew" -- that is, planning our future
together. Everyone is welcome. (No Sunday service
that week.) ++
St. Barnabas is having a Resurrection! "New" people come every weekend, and everyone is excited to see their neighbors and former fellow parishioners as they -- we! -- continue to arrive. Come and check us out and see your friends, or make some new ones! Our new Priest in Charge is the Rev. Kamila Blessing and together we have started something new in the comforting "old wineskin" of St. Barnabas at 989 Morgan St., Brackenridge 15014. So far, the "wineskin" hasn't burst, but it might just with all the activity that is going on.
For those who are new to our community: we welcome all people to God's Table. Any baptised person may receive communion, and others can come up for a blessing. We also offer healing prayer at the rail or after any service, also for everyone.
We believe all people are God's people and so we also invite you to ask for pastoral services. It's not "no obligation" like in commercial companies -- but the obligation is between you and God. Having said that, we welcome you to inquire about baptisms, weddings, and other ways of marking your family's turning points.
Come and see for yourself what a sense of expectancy and excitement we have to share with everyone!
